EMOTIONAL ABUSE THERAPY
Gender is an unreliable predictor of emotional abuse in relationships. Emotional abuse is most likely to occur if jealousy, mood swings, and poor self-control is present.
HOW DO I KNOW IF THE ABUSE IS INTERPERSONAL OR EMOTIONAL?
Although, interpersonal abuse is still a form of emotional abuse, it solely focuses on abuse towards your partner or within the relationship. While emotional abuse in general has no label and is directed towards anyone outside of a circle.
The pain a physically abused person goes through is equivalent to emotional and can lead to PTSD, anxiety and depression.
